Palazzo Madama is commemorating the 50th anniversary of the moon landing with an unusual and interesting exhibition bringing together 60 works, including paintings, sculptures, photographs and drawings (from the 19th century to the present day) that demonstrate the influence of the silver orb on art and artists. The exhibition also features several images of NASA as well as design objects from the 1960s by artists like Vico Magistretti, Achille Castiglioni and Piero Fornasetti. Other highlights include novels, comics, toys and gadgets, a rich display of one of the most important international collections, it’s a real ‘room of lunar marvels’.
