Exhibition: ‘Real Bodies. Oltre il corpo umano’
About the Exhibition
Real Bodies, the exhibition that captivated the public two years ago, is back in a totally revamped version. Highlights include 50 bodies and 450 human organs preserved thanks to a special technique known as plastination (that prevents the decomposition of tissues and organs), plus numerous innovations. These include human remain inspired by drawings by Leonardo da Vinci, a workshop on the comparative anatomy of the animal kingdom and a section focusing on biomechanics featuring athletes frozen in athletic poses demonstrating the body’s complex skeletal and muscular system. The exhibition is further enhanced by multi-media technology and thematic exhibition areas dedicated to disease prevention, the fight against addictions, reconstructive surgery and more.
