Arturo Martini, master of the 20th century
The link between Arturo Martini and Florence can be seen in the presence of some of his fundamental works from the 1930s – attesting to the cultural dynamism of the city and Tuscany in that period – and also in the relationship with the visual sources that Florentine museums were able to offer him. The exhibition is part of the “Solo” cycle dedicated to the major artists of the twentieth century, designed to recount lesser-known aspects of the lives of the great protagonists of painting and sculpture of the last century: Emilio Vedova, Piero Manzoni, Vincenzo Agnetti, Gino Severini, Fabio Mauri, Mirko and Medardo Rosso.
